Materials characterization

Material characterization is the method used to measure and also determines the physical, compound, mechanical and micro structural properties of materials. This technique is used in the upper level of understanding that is required to determine important issues which has similar reasons for disappointment and procedure related issues that allow the manufacturer to make essential material choices. Materials are getting continuously progressed. These ways and methods won't consider and describe them, thus should be increasingly faint. New techniques and methodologies are constantly emerging. In particular the arrival of the electron microscope and Secondary ion mass spectrometry.

Microscopy is also one of the characterization techniques that probe and map the surface and sub-surface structure of a material. These techniques use photons, electrons, ions or physical cantilever probes to gather data about a sample's structure on a range of length scales
