Biography
Mohsen A. Jafari is a professor and Chair of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Rutgers University and is a principal at the Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation, where he overseas Transportation Safety Resource Center and Information Management Group. His current research interests include control and optimization of large complex systems in transportation and energy applications. He has been principal or co-principal to over $18.0M R&D funding from the US and international government agencies and industry (including, US National Science Foundation; Office of Naval Research; Department of Energy; Department of Defense; FHWA and The NJ Department of Transportation; New York and New Jersey Port Authority; NYC Metropolitan Transit Authority; Port of Piraeus – Greece; Allison/General Motors; Siemens; Honeywell; DNV-GL Energy; Anhui-Kelli, China; and Merck & Co.). His work has led to three patents and a number of major technological advances and product development in transportation (Plan4Safety for traffic safety; Berth planning optimization for port operation), in energy (BEAM for building energy asset management; Micro-grid planning and control, Cyber risk assessment tool for power grid), and in manufacturing (3D printing for sensors and actuators). He actively collaborates with universities and national labs in the US and abroad (including University of Cambridge – UK; EPFL-Swiss; and Poly-technique of Milan - Italy). He has advised seventeen Ph.D. theses and nine post doctoral & research fellows. Presently, he is advising additional seven Ph.D. theses. He is a member of IEEE and was recipient of the IEEE excellence award in service and research, SAP curriculum award and two Transportation safety awards. He has authored and co-authored 70+ refereed publications, over 60 conference proceedings, and has made over 100 invited and contributed presentations around the world. He has been consultant to several fortune 500 companies, and national and international government agencies.

Emmanuel S. Eneyo is a Professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He received his BSISE and MSISE degrees from the University of Southern California and a Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University. Dr. Eneyo joined the SIUE faculty in 1989 as an Assistant Professor in industrial engineering. He served as the Program Director of industrial and manufacturing engineering from 1999 to 2005 and successfully got manufacturing engineering program through its first ABET accreditation visit in 2004. He has over 20 years of combined industrial work and consulting experiences with such companies as Bechtel Power Corporation, Rockwell International, Rohr Industries, Roho International, American Steel Foundries, Sierra International, Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria Limited, to name a few. Dr. Eneyo's consulting activities over the years have resulted in several professional journal publications and international conference presentations.Professor Eneyo is a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and a member of Alpha Pi Mu (Industrial Engineering Honor Society), Tau Beta Pi (National Engineering Honor Society), and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). He advises the SIUE student chapter of National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). Dr. Eneyo is also a licensed professional engineer in the State of Illinois, USA.

Biography
Eugen Axinte got his PhD in 1998 from “Gheorghe Asachi†Technical University of Iasi-Romania . He is now a full Professor of Machine Manufacturing Department , Director of Doctoral School of Machine Manufacturing and Industrial Management Faculty and member of The Senate of Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi, Romania. His research interests include the applications of new materials (metallic glasses, glass , glass composites, ceramics ) in industrial practice . He has published more than 100 papers in journals, books and conference proceedings, including papers in journals indexed in the Web of Science – Journal Citation Reports such as Materials and Design , Journal of Non Crystalline Solids , Journal of Applied Physics, Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Physik (ZAMP). He has also published 12 scientific books and faculty courses. In the year 2012 he was also organizer of a International Scientific Exploratory Workshop entitled Opportunities ,challenges and perspectives of using of the new materials ( graphen, glasses, metallic glasses, fullerenes) in industry. He is on the editorial board of several journals including Materials & Design by Elsevier, Recent Patents on Materials Science by Bentham Science Publishers ; Modern Mechanical Engineering by Scientific Research Publishing - SCIRP . He has participated in the scientific committee of several conferences and serves as a reviewer in some high impact factor journals : Materials & Design; Materials Science and Engineering B; Journal of Alloys and Compounds ; Solar Energy ; International Journal of Thermal Sciences.; Journal of Materials Processing Technology; Sensors . In the years 2010, 2011 ,2012 , 2013 and 2014 he also got Awards for results of scientific research of Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI)-Romania.
